Seriously 14 days for a cav crystal??? With the requirements you have for thronebreaker , you couldn’t make it a week like all the others?

I am pretty sure that uncollected was 14 days too.

It was, after looking it up, but uncollected compared to this is vastly different.

It’s like Uncollected. Two weeks for a crystal.

yes, this gives you a chance at a 6* uncollected does not, there will probably be a title later that will update it to 7 days.

Kabam used the word 'Replace' .
What I understand from it, is that the calendar will be 1 week and not 2If the next title after Uncollected was Thronebreaker, then the calendar it's going to be for 2 weeks.
But Thronebreaker comes after Cavalier2

But Thronebreaker comes after CavalierReplacing doesn't mean exactly the same thing.

But Thronebreaker comes after Cavalierreplace does not mean any other changes, such as time. You made poor assumptions.

It just says replace, doesn’t give a length.

At risk of spoiling the fun of complaining here, I have to point out that 1 Cav every two weeks is better than 1 Grandmaster a week.
There's a bunch of ways to do that math. If we can all agree that 3*'s have no value, here's an easy way to analyze:
You have a 50% chance every two weeks of getting a 4* or better with the Cavs vs an 18% chance of getting a 4* or better once a week. 5* or better is 12% vs 3%. You get the point.
So it's statistically better, but is it better "enough"? Meh, not really. If they removed the 3*'s totally at least we would be guaranteed the 4* iso...that would feel a bit better.

Considering the drop rate for anything about 4 star, the progression level required and the length of time to build one (two weeks), this is arguably a step back. Will we have other ways to accrue shards?

Yeah i wasnt happy about that either and they didnt really have to bother much with the change at all then. Only difference the way i see it is instead of getting a 3* weekly i will now get one biweekly
The GMC has an 82% chance to drop a 3* champ; most GMC drops are 3*. The basic (non-featured) Cavalier crystal has a 50% chance to drop a 3*; half the time you're getting something better than that.
In terms of higher rarity champs, the GMC has a 3% chance for 5* while the Cav has 12% chance for 5* or 6* champ, which is four times higher. I'll take a crystal that is four times as valuable half the time.

How in the world is it a step back? How many free Cavs were people getting with Cavalier?

While I also would prefer the once a week it still is a decent upgrade over grandmaster as is. If you are at this level, 3 and 4 stars don't do much for roster so it would be 1% chance at 6 star vs 0 and 12% at 5 or 6 star vs 3%. 1 cav crystal> 2 grandmasters.
