How do I get my W-2 from Tyson? ›

Team members may sign up to access their W-2s or 1095Cs electronically. Team members with questions about accessing their tax documents may call the W-2 Hotline at 1-877-824-0707.

In the event you lose your Form W–2, or require a duplicate copy you can download a copy from Cal Employee Connect under the "W-2" tab. You also can request one from the State Controller's Office.

You can create fill-in versions of Forms W-2 and W-3 for filing with SSA. You may also print out copies for filing with state or local governments, distribution to your employees, and for your records. Note: Copy A of this form is provided for informational purposes only.

Direct your request to the company's human resources or payroll department, as they typically are the ones who issue these forms. Politely ask them to send your form, and confirm your current address or email. If you have moved since leaving the job, your W-2 form may have been sent to your old address.

If you're unable to contact your former employer, fortunately, there's an even easier way to retrieve old W-2 forms: through the IRS. The IRS has W-2s for the past ten years, so they are likely to have what you need.

Can I get a transcript or copy of Form W-2, Wage and Tax Statement, from the IRS? You can get a wage and income transcript, containing the Federal tax information your employer reported to the Social Security Administration (SSA), by visiting our Get your tax records and transcripts page.

You still must file your tax return on time even if you do not receive your Form W-2. If you cannot get a W-2 by your tax-filing deadline, you may use Form 4852, “Substitute for Form W-2, Wage and Tax Statement,” but it will delay any refund due while the information is verified.

If there is no way for you to contact a past employer, you can request that the IRS send you a copy directly. The IRS advises those in this situation to give them a call at 800-829-1040. Additionally, those who live near an IRS Taxpayer Assistance Center can make an appointment to receive their W-2 in person.

The Postal Service™ will mail the 2022 Form W-2, Wage and Tax Statement, to all employees, except those employees who elected not to receive mailed copies of Forms W–2 (through the PostalEASE W-2 module) in lieu of official, electronic Forms W-2.

How do I get my W-2 forms offline? ›

We only retain actual copies of Form W-2, Wage and Tax Statement when attached to your paper tax return. The only way to get an actual copy of your Form W-2 from us is to order a copy of the entire return by using Form 4506, Request for Copy of Tax Return and paying a $30 fee for each return requested.

Forms W-2 (including Forms W-2AS, W-2GU, and W-2VI) redesigned. Beginning with the tax year 2023 forms (filed in tax year 2024), you may complete and print Copies 1, B, C, 2 (if applicable), and D (if applicable) of Forms W-2, W-2AS, W-2GU, and W-2VI on IRS.gov to provide to the respective recipient.

If your employer has an online portal where you access paycheck information, time cards, and other employment information, log into the website to see if your W-2 can be accessed there. Even if you can't find it in your email or online, you may still be able to get it electronically.

File without a W-2: If you do not expect to receive a W-2 from your previous employer — if, for instance, they are no longer in business — you can submit Form 4852, Substitute for Form W-2, Wage and Tax Statement, with your tax return in place of a W-2.

Fill out Form 4506 to request an exact copy of a previously filed and processed tax return from the IRS. This method gives you photocopies of your W-2 attachments for the tax year(s) in question.

If you've separated within 13 months, you can login to your myPay account to get your W2. If you can't access your myPay account, you can submit a tax statement request via askDFAS and we'll mail you a hard copy.
